We specialize in all things crafty. Originally founded in Shanghai.
Now based in Koh Chang, Thailand.
Hugs Of Koh Chang is the new and improved updated brand created by Guillem Bernado-formely known as Antic Vintage. A sustainable brand orginally founded in Shanghai 2017, Hugs Of Koh Chang is a combination of artisan craftsmanship and creativity, paired with abandoned everyday objects and natural materials found on our adventures. The result is an eclectic collection of innovative eco conscious creations for the home. All materials are sustainably sourced as much as possible in and around Shanghai and Koh Chang.
From old tea tins, plastic bottles, bamboo, chairs to natural shells and flowers found on our beatiful island. Hugs Of Koh Chang aims to minimize waste by combining upcycled materials with creative play and nature. Creations range from recycled tin lamps, wooden home decor, handcrafted neckpieces, knives and a range of epoxy resin creations.
All designs are created with a greater vision to reduce carbon footprints in a creative way.

CREATOR
GUILLEM BERNADO
With an appreciation of vintage and sustainable creations from an early age, Guillem has always had a passion for discovering and refurbishing old objects. Happiest when scouting the streets for abandoned treasures, he uses his creative wizardry to transform the old into the new, giving discarded objects a new leash of life. He believes in being resourceful and utilizing what we have to minimize waste. Combining his creativity, craftsmanship and innovative ideas, Guillem adapts discarded items into quirky creations, often with a touch of humour. A passion that began as a hobby gradually grew to become Antic Vintage which has now transformed in to Hugs Of Koh Chang. A creative outlet for his handywork, he creates eco friendly products, and custom designs that can be appreciated for years to come.
When he is not busy creating, you will find him sharing his many years of knowledge and experience at the ThaiG Hub. Guillem focuses on the path of internal arts and refinement, and teaches Taiji and meditation in Koh Chang, Shanghai, Spain and the US. He is the founder of Taiji Stream, an online platform providing resourceful tools for those on the path of inner refinement as well as the co-founder of ThaiG Hub!
THE SERIES
#1 LAMP SERIES
An eclectic collection of lamps created from discarded tins, bike seats, coffee pots, kettles and water bottles. Each design tells its own unique story, often emerging from a single or limited use item such as tin containers. Each item is transformed with a quirky touch of craftsmanship, combined with other up-cycled materials to transform them into innovative lamps that can be treasured for years to come.
#2 WOODEN DECOR SERIES
The perfect way to add a personalized touch of sustainability to your home. This series includes incense & candle holders, crystal altars, jewellery/gift boxes, hangers, cabinets and tables. Often each design is created from abandoned treasures found around Shanghai, from old washing boards, bamboo, and broken furniture. Each item is refurbished with Antic Vintage's signature craftsmanship to create a new lease of life.
#3 NECKLACE SERIES
Inspired by nature itself, these unique unisex handmade neckpieces create an impactful statement, whilst being kind to the planet. Each design is created from discarded wood scraps and natural elements such as dried flowers and shells, and combined with coloured resin inspired by different elements of the world.
#4 POCKET KNIFE SERIES
A personal explorative project for the survivalist. An often overlooked everyday item, the simple knife is an essential tool for every household. These one of a kind handcrafted designs have been adapted from high quality, yet mundane looking knives, and combined with an artisan touch to create a more personalized design, that will encourage you to keep it for a lifetime. Each handle is created from discarded wood scraps combined with coloured resin to match the personality of each knife.
